Niki Rush is a neuroqueer sensuous, stimulating, shape shifting entity with a risqué, critical, and provocative presence

A burlesque performer and DJ, Niki is a hyperactive, hypersensitive, and hypersexual vessel of neurodivergent femininity inspired by womxn, femmes, and queers who fxck with societal expectations of ‘normal’ ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. An expert shapeshifter, Niki adopts different forms to suit different personas all for your viewing pleasure. Her grotesque burlesque uses erotic dance, playful voice, audience participation, intense theatricality, and overall absurdity to reclaim stigmatised neurodivergent qualities and bite back with pleasure, joy, and unashamedness. As a DJ, Niki spins femme and queer focused hot pop, sensual R&B, and erotic electronic to bring the rush to the dance floor. She’s a dirty heady high that’ll leave you dizzy, lightheaded & slightly nauseous.

‘Niki’s Masks’ is a four part series of cabaret performances  that fxck with cultural tropes of neurodivergent femininity. Using persona, dance, song, costume and text, she morphs into The Hysteric, The Dunce, The Manic Pixie Dream Girl and The Nymph – adopting the mask of each trope to then tear it apart and imagine something anew.

The series is in development - see below for more information on Niki’s Nymph, Hysteric, and Dunce - all are ready for booking! Acts can be tailored to the context, and can run between 5-20 minutes. Keep your eager peepers peeled for the final instalment, The Manic Pixie Dream Girl.
